Instead, Bill Approves a 7-Cent-per-Gallon Increase to Fuel Taxes… Washington State officially pulled the plug on its controversial 10% luxury tax on general and business aviation aircraft just hours before it was set to take effect. Governor Bob Ferguson signed House Bill 2711 to repeal last year’s SB 5801… but, unfortunately, replace it with a 7-cent-per-gallon increase in aviation fuel taxes and a modest bump in aircraft registration fees.
