The Restored DC-3 Airliner Offered A Look At The History Of Early Passenger Airliners The Flabob Aviation Associates brought their Flabob Express, an historic C-47/DC-3 aircraft, to the Buckeye Air Fair In Buckeye, Arizona.The aircraft flew for several decades with commercial carriers, including Trans-Texas Airways (TTA) and Provincetown-Boston Airlines (PBA). Touring the airliner was popular for many of the people attending the Air Fair. The plane is kept in flying condition to educate youth and honor aviation history. It participated in the 75th Anniversary of D-Day in 2019. The aircraft is based at the historic Flabob Airport, The Tom Wathen Center, in Riverside, California. The aircraft got its name from the first names of the airport’s founders, Flavio Madariaga and Bob Bogen- Fla-Bob.
