Helicopter Was on Manhunt A Texas DPS helicopter had a laser strike on the cockpit during a Harris County manhunt while helping out the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. DPS said the laser pointed at the helicopter was unrelated to the manhunt search. The laser momentarily illuminated the aircraft, putting the pilots in danger, officials said. Authorities said the manhunt suspect attempted to hide from the aircraft but was ultimately located by the aircrew, and law enforcement detained the suspect.
