In Facebook Post, Flight School Welcomes Calls From Piston Students But Has No Current Agreement To ‘Absorb’ Them St. Charles Flying Service, via a Facebook post, said it wanted to set the record straight on issues surrounding the closing of Piston Aviation’s flight training. “As many of you know, Piston Aviation has indeed closed its doors. There has been much speculation and conversations with regard to what happened, what to do next, etc. While we do not know what has caused the close, we can set the record straight on several important aspects of this situation,” the company says. St. Charles Flying Service is a certificated Missouri State Board of Education proprietary flight school and a FAA Certified Part 141 flight school. “Any email you have received from Piston regarding a voucher or continuance of flight training with St. Charles Flying Service, Inc. has been delivered to you prematurely. At this time, we are not “absorbing” Piston Aviation students, aircraft, or employees. We are not entered into negotiations to purchase aircraft, their student data base, or any other assets, nor do we have access to their training records/contracts…”
