Spirit Airlines is moving quickly to slim down its operation in hopes of smoothly sailing out of Chapter 11 early this summer, locking in a deal to sell 20 Airbus A320-family aircraft. By the time it exits the bankruptcy gutter, it will only have around 80 aircraft left: around a third of its fleet size last August.
