Airline Shifts Focus from O’Hare to Midway, Dulles to Reagan National Southwest Airlines is pulling out of two of the busiest airports in the US, Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Washington Dulles (IAD), to focus on its more established bases. June 3, 2026, will be its final day operating flights to, from, or through the airports, leaving future flights to be refunded or rebooked through the hub’s little siblings: Chicago Midway (MDW) and Reagan National (DCA).
