President And CEO Darren Pleasance Moves To Advisory Role Well…. that didn’t take too long… The AOPA Board of Trustees is searching for a new leader after current president and CEO Darren Pleasance, who has been with the organization a little over a year, either bails out or gets pushed out, IMMEDIATELY to an ‘advisory’ role. Pleasance lives in Bend, Ore. and AOPA said they need their top leader based full-time in Frederick, Md., at AOPA’s headquarters. Effective immediately, AOPA’s day-to-day operations will be jointly led by Chief Financial Officer Jill Baker and Senior Vice President of Membership Strategy and Growth Katie Pribyl, who will serve as acting co-presidents during this interim period.
