Recent Convention In Washington, D.C. Urged Funding For Airport Improvement Program The National Association of State Aviation Officials’ (NASAO) three-day conference brought together state aviation leaders and federal officials to address critical policy and infrastructure needs. Discussion at the conference centered on funding the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) at $4 billion annually. NASAO specifically urged that 50% of AIP supplemental discretionary grants be directed to nonprimary, non-hub, and small-hub airports.
