A Boeing 737 Will Deliver Founding-Era Documents In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, a Boeing 737 will carry several historical documents, including an original engraving of the Declaration of Independence in 1823 – one of only about 50 known engraved copies – to eight cities across the country. The Freedom Plane will launch from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in D.C. on March 3, heading to its first stop in Kansas City. It will then travel to Atlanta, Los Angeles, Houston, Denver, Miami, Dearborn and Seattle, concluding at the end of August. The Freedom Plane National Tour is made possible in part by the National Archives Foundation (NAF), through the support of The Boeing Company, Comcast Corporation, Microsoft, and P&G.
