Friendly Competition Honors High-Flying First Responders Sanford Air-med and Avera Careflight are running a friendly competition blood-donation drive in the 6th annual Flying for Life Blood Drive in Sioux Falls, S.D. Those donating blood to the Community Blood Bank will receive a “Flying for Life” T-shirt and a certificate for a large Papa Murphy’s pizza. Donors must be 17 years or older, or 16 with a parental consent form. They also will need a photo ID. The blood drive will continue for six days. The blood drive and competition between Sanford Air-med and Avera Careflight began during the COVID-19 pandemic.
