Stops Any Automated Calculation Or Collection Of Fees From Aircraft Owners Or Operators Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed Senate Bill 422, which prohibits airports from using information derived from automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) systems emitted from certain aircraft as a means of collecting fees from owners. This rule is limited to aircraft with a gross weight of 12,499 pounds or less operating under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules, and applies to fees charged for departures, landings (including touch-and-go), and for simply entering the airport’s airspace. The law will take effect on July 1.
