A Noon Airshow And Static Displays Got The Show Underway The first day of the Buckeye Air Fair and AOPA Fly-In started with an unusually cloudy and cool Arizona day but kicked into gear with jumps by the United States Air Force Academy’s elite parachute team, the Wings of Blue. Comprised of hand-selected Academy cadets, enlisted personnel and officers, the team performed freefall formations and precision canopy piloting to cheers from the crowd. A short midday airshow gave the crowd a glimpse of aerobatic flying; an F-35 Lighting from Luke Air Force Base made several low passes for the crowd. Also, the U.S. Marine Corp V-22 Osprey Demo that hung in the sky inspired lots of video and photos from the crowd.
