Grand Junction Community Members Got Chance To Fly In Historical Aircraft The Commemorative Air Force Rocky Mountain Wing (CAF) hosted its TBM Rides Day last Saturday in Grand Junction, Colo., offering community members the chance to fly in a historical TBM Avenger. The flight day provided residents with access to the plane and allowed them to observe the Grand Valley area from the air. Dale Breckenridge, one of the guests who participated in the event, told WesternSlopeNow.com, “This is probably something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I took some flying lessons as a kid in high school, but work got in the way. And so, I always enjoyed airplanes and so this was my big chance to go fly and I took it.”
