FAA Not Hampering Efforts To Get Variants Over Finish Line FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford pushed back on the perception that the agency is standing in the way of Boeing’s efforts to get two new variants of its 737 MAX aircraft certified. He noted in a speech in Washington that while the agency has allocated significant resources to helping Boeing get the MAX 7 and MAX 10 aircraft certified, the manufacturer still has a lot of its own work to complete.
