After Restoration, Aircraft Will Be On Display At Shellharbour Aviation Museum After years of expense and delay, John Travolta’s Boeing 707 – with its Qantas paint job and luxury custom interior – is finally on its way to Australia, almost a decade after he first announced he would donate it to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) Aviation Museum at Shellharbour Airport (WOL) in New South Wales. It won’t fly there, however; Airworthiness restrictions mean members of HARS were unable to fly it to Australia. Instead, the 707 has been dismantled by a small team of aviation enthusiasts at Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (KBQK) in Georgia and loaded onto on a ship this week. It is due to arrive at Port Kembla on May 9, and will then be transferred to Shellharbour by truck.
