Arbitrator Says FAA Violated Remote Work Arrangements Of Professional Aviation Safety Specialists An arbitrator has determined that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) violated the collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) of the approximately 11,000 union members of the Professional Aviation Safety Specialists (PASS), AFL-CIO. The arbitrator issued a decision in favor of PASS-represented employees at the FAA who had filed a grievance regarding the across-the-board cancellation of routine telework and remote work arrangements. The arbitrator recognized the careful balance the FAA and PASS struck in developing rules around telework and remote work during contract negotiations from 2022-2024.
