Learjet Struck A Parked Gulfstream After Landing In Scottsdale Two lawsuits claim a Gulfstream jet was parked at Scottsdale Airport (SDL) in an area that should have been kept clear and that the city failed to comply with Federal Aviation Administration safety standards. A jet owned by a company tied to Motley Crue singer Vince Neil veered off the runway after landing and struck the parked Gulfstream G200 on Feb. 10, 2025. The pilot of the jet, 78-year-old Joie Vitosky, was killed. The co-pilot and a passenger were seriously injured, while others suffered minor injuries. After landing, the Learjet traveled over the rock-covered runway-safety areas located between the runway and taxiways. The left main landing gear separated from the airplane and came to rest adjacent to taxiway B.
