The Group Champions Highest Standards Of Professionalism And Safety In Aviation The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) said their mission is rooted in inspiring, mentoring, and developing aerospace professionals who meet and exceed the rigorous benchmarks established by the FAA and industry. The group was responding to U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy saying that the FAA is issuing a new mandatory “Operations Specification” (OpSpec) requiring all commercial airlines to formally commit to merit-based hiring for pilots.
