Tandem Jump Resulted In Death of Skydiving Instructor The pilot of a skydiving plane attempted to cut loose an instructor and his student doing a tandem skydive when the two became entangled on the aircraft step before the instructor cut himself loose and fell to his death, according to an FAA report on the incident last October. The report says the instructor, 35-year-old Justin Fuller, freed himself, falling to his death and allowing the student to land with a reserve parachute. The instructor was employed by Go Skydive Nashville based at 220 Tune Airport Drive, in Nashville, Tenn. FAA investigators detailed the chain of events, also captured on a GoPro camera worn on Fuller’s wrist. The pilot told the FAA that he observed that a leg strap from the harness was hung up on the step after the pair exited the aircraft.
